Volunteers, Teen Volunteers (This facility accomodates Teen Volunteers) needed by University Presbyterian Church Volunteer Dormitory

notes: Q: Does Univ. Presbyterian Church have a rebuilding program and will volunteers be given work orders through the church or is this strictly housing for volunteers?: A: We do organize trips upon request. We often work with youth groups who cannot gut due to age limitations, but are able to do other hurricane relief work around Baton Rouge. If groups already have a mission trip planned, and just need a place to stay, that is fine too. -> Q: Does Univ. If so, what are the specific age restrictions?: A: We try to limit the groups to having members of at least senior high age. We would expect that any senior high group would come accompanied by sufficient adult supervision (try for 1 adult to 5 senior highs) Q: Do volunteers need to provide their own bedding?: A: We provide bedding for the bunks, but if bedding is borrowed, we expect volunteers to launder, fold and bag the bedding just as it was found. Some volunteer groups find it easier to just bring their own as they leave early in the morning and do not have time to do laundry. Q: Do volunteers need to pay a fee for staying at the dorm? What does the cost include if so?: A: Stay is free. Q: Do volunteers need to provide their own transportation?: A: Yes
