Volunteer Job Opportunities with SETIO thru AmeriCorps

SETIO is a non-profit organization that is working with the
AmeriCorps Vista program. AmeriCorps is a national program.
AmeriCorps is a program that works with volunteers wanting
an opportunity to serve their brothers and sisters in need.
These positions are considered volunteer.

Applications will be processed through Americorps. The VISTA
member will be paid a stipend from the TCC. They will receive
a living allowance of $10,596, plus an end-of-service of $1200
or an education award of $4725.

The Texas Conference of Churches was awarded an Americorps*VISTA
grant to provide 21 VISTA members to long-term recovery committees
in Texas. They will be providing four of these VISTA members to
SETIO." One other thing - the VISTAs will be paid directly by
Americorps.

Financial Administrator-located in SETIO Beaumont Office:

Maintain financial accounts for organization and work with CPA
on tax reporting.
Prepare financial reports for board meetings.
Organize fundraising events to support building, debris removal,
etc. for victims not covered by insurance. Complete intake form
on families that call in to the SETIO office.

Community Organizer-Two positions:

We have two positions available for community organizers within
the Orange and Beaumont area. This person will assist regional
advocacy coordinator in bringing together area churches,
faith-based and social service organizations, business and
industry to address long term needs.

Volunteer Coordinator-located in SETIO main office in Beaumont:

Recruit community volunteers to help meet the overall needs of
the organization. Help coordinate matching of volunteer groups to
ongoing long-term recovery needs after major disasters have occurred, including development of volunteer assignment descriptions.
