With regard to your interest: It is a requirement that our disaster response teams be composed of pre-screened licensed/certified medical personnel with significant developing-nations experience. In addition, pre-screened volunteers are selected based on their fit with specific team requirements. Volunteers help in countless ways: Groups sponsor events—from benefit concerts to school coin drives—to help raise funds. Businesses take on special projects, such as donation drives. Our annual Field of Dreams auction comes together because of countless volunteers. Individuals help through a wide variety of professional service, office support, and sorting/packing activities on a daily basis. ------------------------------------ Volunteering at the International headquarters in Oregon Every year, hundreds of people volunteer their time and skills at the Medical Teams International international headquarters in Tigard, Oregon. Headquarters volunteer opportunities The 4-hour shifts are scheduled week days between 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., unless otherwise noted. REAL. LIFE. Exhibit tour guide You will contribute to the mission of Medical Teams International by volunteering at our REAL. LIFE. exhibit. In this role, you will guide the guests who tour the exhibit. The shifts are flexible. General office Depending on your skills, the General Office Assistant provides clerical help such as filing, answering phones, copying, preparing packets, researching and compiling reports, etc. International Distribution Center People of varying ages and skill sets can help here, with everything from sorting and packing to data entry to pick-up and delivery. **Age requirement to work in the International Distribution Center is 16 years or older unless directly supervised by a parent or guardian.** Group projects Is your business planning a team building day? Do you have a youth group who would like to make a difference in the world? Is your club looking for a way to reach out to those in need? We welcome groups of up to 20 to assist with bin packing.
