Volunteer

Without volunteers, the Foodbank would not be able to provide food for thousands of hungry people every week. Get together with a social, church or work group and spend a day with us.
To learn more about becoming a Foodbank volunteer, contact our volunteer coordinator at (323) 234-3030, extension 144 or amartinez@lafoodbank.org.

All volunteers are asked to complete a liability release prior to participating in programs at the Foodbank. Minors must have the release signed by a parent or legal guardian. To download a copy of the release click here. Minimum age for volunteering is 14 years old.

Food Drives and Fund Drives
Looking for a meaningful way to take action and a great opportunity to get involved? Food drives and fund drives raise awareness of hunger in the community, collect food for people in need and play an essential role in the fight against hunger.

Food Drives
Los Angeles Regional Foodbank accepts dry, shelf-stable, refrigerated and frozen food items; foodservice items; and personal care and cleaning products.

Food from food drives is gathered through collection barrels. E-mail us at cbriggs@lafoodbank.org or call (323) 234-3030, extension 154 to request a collection barrel for your upcoming food drive.
