Kids Cafe Program, Volunteer needed by Memphis Food Bank

Kids Cafe – volunteers 18 years and older help serve meals to children at Kids Cafe sites (You must be signed up prior to the serving time - no drop-in volunteers). Sites and serving times:

* Buckman Kids Cafe, Buckman Boys and Girls Club, 1100 Vollintine Ave. – Wednesdays, 4:30 pm
* ConAgra Kids Cafe, Southside Boys and Girls Club, 667 Richmond Ave. – Thursdays, 6:00 pm
* Carnival Memphis Kids Cafe, Goodwill Boys and Girls Club, 990 College Park Ave.--Wednesdays, 5:00 pm
* Bridges Chandler Kids Cafe, Girls Incorporated of Memphis, 686 N. 7th St. -- Tuesdays & Wednesdays*, 4:30 pm *Additional serving day made possible by a grant from Ronald McDonald House Charities

Kids Cafe®, a program of America's Second Harvest - The Nation's Food Bank Network, feeds needy children a hot, nutritious meal, served by volunteers in a restaurant-like setting. At Kids Cafe, kids learn basic nutrition and the importance of good eating habits while they enjoy a hot, well-balanced meal in a safe environment once a week. They also participate in tutoring, life skills lessons, arts and crafts and other enriching activities. The Food Bank operates four Kids Cafes in the Memphis area, in partnership with local children's organizations and sponsored by local corporations and civic organizations.
