Animals, Pet Therapy, Volunteer needed by San Diego Humane Society and SPCA

Pet-Assisted Therapy
Volunteers can share animals with people in convalescent homes, hospitals and children's treatment centers. Resident rabbits, guinea pigs, rats and when available puppies and kittens are chosen for their gentle temperament. Special qualifications are required for volunteers that are interested in bringing their own animal on visits, click here for details. The minimum age to volunteer here is 18.

Shift: Monday through Sunday, 8:30 am - 3:30 pm
Commitment: Two shifts per month (average shift time is 3 hours)
