Food Distribution, Food Pantry (Distributes to the Public) available at St. Vincent's Food Pantry (Catholic Community Services of Nevada)

Since 1946, St. Vincent’s Food Pantry has helped keep hunger at bay for countless families, elderly widows, grizzled vets, homeless individuals, and anyone else struggling to put food on the table.

Today, St. Vincent's is the largest food pantry in the Reno/Sparks area, providing supplemental food supplies more than 200,000 times each year.

Non-perishable food items are provided Monday-Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., once a month. Recipients must provide basic identification for themselves and family members at time of pickup.

Unlike a food bank that provides food to member agencies, St. Vincent’s Food Pantry distributes directly to people in need. The Food Pantry provides USDA Surplus Commodities, purchases some food in bulk, and relies on donations of food from local service groups and churches of all denominations.

The Food Pantry is a great place to volunteer. Open Monday-Friday from 9:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m., the Pantry relies on volunteers to assist clients at the front counter (seen at left), stock food items, and pack food boxes.
