Where will we stay in Bogalusa?

Westside Emmanuel Baptist Church (Bogalusa, LA) has graciously
opened up their facilities to house groups and provide a place
for food prep and dining. Below are some pictures and explanations
of the facilities provided for relief groups.

The upstairs classrooms in the building to the left of the sanctuary
have been converted into dorm-type bedrooms for relief groups to
stay during their time in Bogalusa.

The rooms are situated in such a way to make it possible for there
to be a male/female wing.

Dorm-Type Classrooms/Large assembly areas:

A number of participants will be able to stay in rooms large enough
for a twin size bed, a chair, separate lighting, and enough floor
space for their luggage.

A large, open overflow area (for those who aren't as lucky to get a
private room) are just outside the dorm rooms and can be used for air mattresses and additional cots.

We currently have mattresses and bedding (sheets, blankets, etc.)
for approx. 30 people. Please make sure to contact Henry and Wilma
directly in the event that your group is larger than 30 or if you will
be housed at the same time with another group. We have room for 75
people and have the space to utilize air mattresses. Direct contact
with Henry will let you know whether or not there is a need to bring
air mattresses and sleeping bags or if we'll have enough for your
group during your stay at Westide.

Costs:

Groups will be responsible for everything... There is no simpler way
to explain the costs related to a short-term mission trip. You are
coming to an area that has experienced significant damage. The area
has experienced financial difficulties for a number of years and we
do not want to add additional burdens to area churches and members.
Please be prepared to cover all costs related to transportation and
feeding. Here are some additional areas:

Building, Maintenance and Laundry Fee:

Each participating group will be asked to provide $50 per person c/o
Pastor Marcus Rosa (check made out to Triangle Of Hope) for electrical
costs, maintenance and laundry. This amount will be used for custodial
help (in addition to what groups are asked to do in the house rules)
and laundering ministry t-shirts along with utility fees.

Many of you who have partnered with Triangle of Hope in the past may
have noticed the increase in our per person fee. Rising energy costs
and the financial situation of the host church demands that we not add
undue burden upon Westside Emmanuel. Thank you for your understanding
