6/23/08 Katrina's Angels, Inc. is currently helping Operation Love Thy Neighbor and others with the Midwest Floods 2008. Many people in the area couldn't afford insurance, so they need our help.
We will also try to help the flooded states with building supplies once the water recedes, but our current major need is for all cleanup and mucking supplies. If you can help contact ResourceDirector@katrinasangels.org

Faced with lots of discontinued items as well as small lots of certain tiles, flooring, door knobs, etc., Jaeckle Distributors of Madison, WI, decided to go green and find some group that could make use of these new items and keep them out of the landfills. Katrina's Angels was ecstatic to have such a generous donor who also arranged for the shipping and donated the shipping costs to those in need in LA and MS. It is a win-win situation: the items stay out of the landfills, the donor gets a tax deduction, and people in the gulf get needed supplies to fix up and return to their homes.
Katrina's Angels is hoping that our alliance with Jaeckle Distributors continues in the future and that news of their generosity will spark more donors like them to come forward.
