Cat Care and Exercise Dog Care and Exercise Temporary Care Program Reception/Phones/Office Community Education Showing Pets for Adoption Community Outreach All it takes is a phone call to 232-6887...we'd love to have you join us. Online volunteer application: http://www.cedarbendhumane.org/UserFiles/docs/volunteer.pdf -> Temporary Adoptions Cedar Bend Humane Society and all of the animals that pass through our door need your help. Cedar Bend needs people that are willing to make a short-term commitment to animals in need. Animals that fall into this category are usually young animals that need recovery time from accident or illnesses or sometimes it might be a whole litter of kittens or puppies that just needs time to grow up. Criteria for Temporary Adoptive Home Provide a safe loving warm environment Enough Time (puppies and kittens require every 2 to 3 hour feedings) Remember infants are needy and if they are on medications they must be given on a timely basis. Provide proper nurturing and socialization for emotional growth. Shelter Responsibilities Cedar Bend will Provide all necessary veterinary care as well as food, crate etc. We will be happy to provide emotional support and answer any questions you may have. Providing Temporary Care to these animals reduces their risk of further illnesses and increases their chances of survival. These animals also receive the one on one attention they deserve until they find their permanent loving home. A note to all parents Please do not foster animals and leave them in the care of young children these animals are depending on you for there survival and well being. We do want children to participate but under your watchful eye so scratches and bites do not occur. All individuals interested in providing temporary care must be 21 years of age. THANK YOU!
