Another 15 gift baskets were delivered to families overThanksgiving as well. These gift baskets were actual laundry baskets filled with bathroom stuff, kitchen items, gift cards, free dinner restaurant coupons, hand made quilts and Dream Dinner meals. Packed with much love and blessing to all the families that received them. A special thank you to the Home Church in Poway and the Red Hat Day Trippers for putting all those askets together and delivering them. The volunteer drop off has already began, be the example in your sphere of influence that truly demonstrates what it means to be a good and caring neighbor and get your friends to join you. The needs are great!!! #1 Highland Valley Home - Erosion Control, sand bags and hay rolls, need pick up truck/van(s), hammers, picks and shovels. We are hoping for another great turnout of volunteers that can help us put togetherfood packs for needy families locally and for families in Tanzania. Ourgoal is to assemble 50,000 meals (shouldn't be tough since in Oct we packed 72,000). This 50,000 along with the 250,000 in our warehouse will get us to the 300,000 mark we need to fill a container for Tanzania. If all is successful we will ship our 2nd 300,000 shipment on Dec 10th. Take a look at the packing info and flyer I attached, bring a friend and come and join us. We need approx 10 rectangular tables and 15-20 canopies for the event. You can drop them off anytime on Saturday before 2:00pm at Dream Dinners in Poway or by 8:00am on Sunday the 2nd.
