Heart to Heart Meals Every weekend, our mobile canteen visits four locations downtown to provide a hot meal to those who need it. mission: -> The Salvation Army in Greater Columbus is a collection of Salvation Army churches (called corps) and facilities where area residents can receive services, such as food from Choice Pantries, After School Learning Centers for children, activities and assistance for seniors, Career Enhancement Centers and other programs for adults. Our facilities are also at the ready for disaster relief, including our mobile canteen, which was dispatched in the fall of 2007 to Ohio regions experiencing severe flooding. In 2006, The Salvation Army in Greater Columbus responded to more than 70,600 requests for service. Our diverse range of programs and services would not be possible without the support or our Advisory Board, Funding and Program Parners, and the central Ohio community at large.
