OVERVIEW

The purpose of the 2008 Sylmar Wildfire Assistance Guide is to offer information on local resources that may be helpful to people who were impacted by the November 2008 wildfires. It was created in response to the diverse needs of the community and is designed to provide those in need, and those who serve them, with up-to-date information on services and referrals.

The Guide is arranged in sections based the types of services provided. A Glossary of Services are provided in the following pages. Each listing in this Guide includes information on the service offered and how the agency providing the service can be contacted.

This Guide should be used after calling 211 and/or going online to www.310info.org.

Before using this guide, please contact 211 and inform them of your needs. Operators are available 24/7 and are happy to connect you with available resources. The Red Cross and RebuildSylmar.org cannot guarantee that all information here is correct; inclusion of a particular service in the Guide does not imply endorsement by these groups.
