Earlier in the day, it was announced the center for evacuees would be closing at 6 p.m. and those currently residing at the shelter will be provided housing assistance. -> 9/26/09 GAVOAD ConCall Notes - 9/09 Floods: •193 Total Residents Remain in Shelters (number as of 5:00PM 9/26/09 from GEMA sitrep) • More than 300 Red Cross volunteers are providing stability and hope for families in this time of great chaos. To date, Red Cross has sheltered 458 people, served 6,105 meals, and distributed 1,156 clean-up and comfort kits.
