An evacuation call center has been set up for residents of the City of Moorhead and Oakport Township. All residents who have or may evacuate their homes should evacuate to a location outside of the flood area. Once you have arrived in a safe location, please contact the call center to register your home’s address and temporary shelter location so emergency personnel and family and friends can know you are safe and how to reach you. The call center will answer residents’ questions regarding how to prepare their home for dike failure/sewer failure as well as provide information on shelter locations and instruction for animal boarding.

The American Red Cross will establish a public shelter at Moorhead High School, 2300 4th Avenue South, at 3:00 PM today for persons who are not able to stay with family and friends.
