Began seeing patients 11/15/10 Now getting 25 patients per day Multiple deaths in out lying chapels There are no beds in clinic Clinic is located in center of the district and serves 60,000 people Before cholera, clinic saw 300-350 patients a month Staff: 3 nurses, Lab Tech, Pharmacist, occasional visits of MD's Accessibility: Rd from Borgne is horrible. Helicopter can land at nearby soccer field Water Source: spring on mountain above. Community gets water from river traveling through village. Have used Gift of Water system for 400 Homes in the past. Currently not funchtioning well as no supervision since previous GOW closed down. My wife Carolyn and I both deeply appreciate your kind service in seeing that all our supplies arrive in Haiti in plenty of time for our 2-29-08 medical team. We also appreciate that you have spent considerable time in Haiti and are very familiar with the people, the terrain and the always interesting and changing "rules of the customs officers." As president of the Board of Visitation Hospital (Petite Riviere de Nippes, Haiti) and deeply involved in the Catholic Parish Twinning Program of the Americas (throughout Haiti) I learned of your company. I can now honestly tell all our 62 medical teams in Haiti and the medical staff at Visitation Hospital what a true joy it has been to work with you and your wonderful company. Last night we had our "Haiti meeting" for the team that is going to use the medical supplies you shipped for us today. They were thrilled to hear how great you all were to work with and very appreciative of an American company so committed to customer service!!!! He will probably contact the CASCO office in Cap Haitian and his Bishop's office if he has any problems clearing customs.
