ASSOCIATION HAITIENNE DE DEVELOPPEMENT HUMAIN, INC., is a non-profit organization founded in November 1986 by a group of Haitians in New Orleans, Louisiana, aimed at promoting the welfare of Haitians by contributing to and / or instituting humanitarian programs (health, education, culture, development, etc) in Haiti and in Louisiana.

In Haiti, since the late 80s, we joined forces with a very well structured Haitian Non-Governmental Organization (NGO), CODEVA (Coude-a-Coude pour le Dévelopement Valleen), and with its U.S. based sister organization, Fraternite Valleenne.

From June of 1977 to July of 1980 CODEVA engineers and the people of LaVallee built St. Joseph Dispensary Hospital, which is community owned and operated.
