Adults and Teens:
Goodwill Industries of Denver works with both teens and adults to help them get the education and training they need to obtain and sustain meaningful employment and improve their life. This is accomplished through four program areas:

Major Programs:

* High school career development within community high schools
* Adult job training and placement in Adams & Arapahoe County
* Work options for the disabled at Goodwill corporate offices
* Retail employment and recycling programs in the metro area

Commmunity Programs

Goodwill Industries of Denver has four major programs areas that combined, serve more than 30,000 people in our community each year. Through our programs the Good in You helps those in our community use their Will to Do to improve their situation and live a better life.

Program Highlights

* We provide career development programs to more than 20,000 teenagers annually
* We help 4,500 adults on government assistance get the training they need to get off welfare
* We provide meaningful retail employment for nearly 600 people throughout our community

Major Program Areas

* High school career development in community high schools
Goodwill employs teachers in 26 Denver public high schools who provide much needed career development assistance to teenagers. The goal of this program is to help teens formulate a career path of their choice and begin preparing for that career.

* Adult job training & placement in Adams and Arapahoe County
Goodwill serves over 4,500 adults annually through various programs that provide support for them and their families. This includes job training and placement and financial assistance to help those in need get off of welfare and get back on their feet.

* Work options for the disabled at Goodwill’s corporate offices in Denver
Goodwill hires individuals with special challenges to work on contract projects with various organizations. This includes light assembly, sorting and packing projects. If you would like to learn more about hiring Goodwill to help with your special project – click here.

* Retail work & recycling programs throughout 18 stores and donation centers Goodwill's retail stores help provide funding for the programs listed above while providing affordable used goods to our community. They also provide great employment opportunities for those with barriers to work, as 75% of our 600 store employees are disadvantaged and/or disabled.
