In line with the teaching of our prophet, elimination of poverty must be central to empowering human beings to cater for themselves. The MICT’s core objectives towards this cause are: 1) To support individuals and communities surrounded by crises ranging from victims in conflict stricken areas to victims of natural disasters. 2) Reaching out to prospective donors and offering them a reliable framework for disbursement of support to individuals in need. 3) Beyond intervening in crisis stricken situations, MICT remains dedicated to a multi-pronged program for grass-root support to those in need. notes: ACTIVITIES: FOOD: family rashan pack and mineral water distribution -> ACTIVITIES: FOOD: family rashan pack and mineral water distribution ------------------------------ FROM THE SITE: Current Endeavours The crisis unleashed by floods across Pakistan since July 2010 are the main focus of MICT's attention. So far, we have despatched emergency food supplies to parts of south Punjab, the district of Mianwali and Dera Ismail Khan in the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa province. We are convinced that the fallout from the floods will require a long term rehabilitation effort across Pakistan. Our main objective is now to help with the rehabilitation of floods victims in areas of our focus. Our present work follows our ongoing commitment to intervene in crisis stricken areas, as demonstrated through our support for victims of violence in parts of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, as well as through our support to students in need of support across Pakistan.
