At one point in history, a passionate man of God noticed a lack of men involved in Christian missions. He was called to take missions beyond the realm of the clergy, and into the hearts of everyday men. Short mission trips began to change the lives of these men and their families as their relationship with the Lord grew. In turn, these men changed lives by sharing the hope of Christ with people around the world. Years later, Men for Missions is equipping a new generation of men to find the zeal and strength which comes from a heart for the work of God..

Men for Missions is a dynamic movement born of God's Spirit in the hearts of laymen. Through Men for Missions, thousands of men and their families, from various church affiliations and all walks of life, find a channel for harnessing and releasing personal skills and abilities in practical, direct missionary involvement. By participation in overseas witness and work teams, they catch new zeal for soul winning at home, as well as abroad.

Men for Missions is The Laymen's Voice of One Mission Society, a Charter Member of the Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability ECFA.

Homes for Haiti

One Mission Society started the Homes for Haiti project as a way to provide long-term relief for Haitians after the January 2010 earthquake. After sending relief and medical teams and supplies in response to the earthquake, OMS wanted to find a more permanent way to help. More than 1 million Haitians are still homeless. OMS is using the local Haitian church to connect with families who need homes.

OMS completed the pilot home on September 7. We plan to build at least 20 more homes in the coming months. The first home was built in Gressier and given to a woman named Italienne. She will live in the home with nine family members.

Men for Missions is overseeing the Homes for Haiti project. (Men for Missions exists to serve Christ by assisting the worldwide ministries of One Mission Society.) The aim of the project is to provide a home for a family but also to create jobs for Haitian national workers. Men for Missions is sending teams of 4 - 6 people with construction experience or a specialty such as electrical, plumbing, etc…to work alongside the Haitian workers.
