ACF in Haiti

After conducting emergency activities since 1988 in the fields of health and nutrition, Action contre la Faim settled, in 1998, programmes in the social and medical sectors. Since 2001, Action contre la Faim has concentrated on the provision of clean water, with its water, hygiene and sanitation programmes. Food security programmes aimed at providing immediate aid during crises but especially in the long-term, to give people the means to regain their autonomy. For 3 years, the surveys of Action contre la Faim operated in emergencies or with a view to « rehabilitation » in Port de Paix, Gonaïves, Anse Rouge and Jérémie.

Water, sanitation and hygiene
