The judge from Cazale just came by to discuss these rumors. He said that the people in Fond Baptiste are reporting eye pain, headache, neck pain, then blindness, and also feeling like their bones are breaking and feeling weak. They're not reporting paralysis specifically (per what he's heard). They are not reporting any vomiting or diarrhea. He stated that at least one of the patients from Fond Baptiste was transported to the hospital in Archaiae (not sure which one) where she died. I'm not sure about any other patients (where they died). He is rightfully worried about what the response will be in the community, both in Cazale and elsewhere. People are tired, they are scared. Cholera presented as an unknown illness that could kill within hours, and now they potentially have a new unknown illness to worry about. Per the rumors the judge is hearing, these patients are sick for about 2 days before they die. The judge in Cazale was asking specifically about how the corpses should be handled. We advised handling them the same way they have handled people who've died from cholera. The judge from Cazale just came by to discuss these rumors. He said that the people in Fond Baptiste are reporting eye pain, headache, neck pain, then blindness, and also feeling like their bones are breaking and feeling weak. They're not reporting paralysis specifically (per what he's heard). They are not reporting any vomiting or diarrhea. He stated that at least one of the patients from Fond Baptiste was transported to the hospital in Archaiae (not sure which one) where she died. I'm not sure about any other patients (where they died). He is rightfully worried about what the response will be in the community, both in Cazale and elsewhere. People are tired, they are scared. Cholera presented as an unknown illness that could kill within hours, and now they potentially have a new unknown illness to worry about. Per the rumors the judge is hearing, these patients are sick for about 2 days before they die. The judge in Cazale was asking specifically about how the corpses should be handled. We advised handling them the same way they have handled people who've died from cholera. The judge from Cazale just came by to discuss these rumors. He said that the people in Fond Baptiste are reporting eye pain, headache, neck pain, then blindness, and also feeling like their bones are breaking and feeling weak. They're not reporting paralysis specifically (per what he's heard). They are not reporting any vomiting or diarrhea. He stated that at least one of the patients from Fond Baptiste was transported to the hospital in Archaiae (not sure which one) where she died. I'm not sure about any other patients (where they died). He is rightfully worried about what the response will be in the community, both in Cazale and elsewhere. People are tired, they are scared. Cholera presented as an unknown illness that could kill within hours, and now they potentially have a new unknown illness to worry about. Per the rumors the judge is hearing, these patients are sick for about 2 days before they die. The judge in Cazale was asking specifically about how the corpses should be handled. We advised handling them the same way they have handled people who've died from cholera.
