Notes: Formed in 1960 to represent Protestant relief and development agencies in requesting donated medicines from U.S. pharmaceutical companies, our historic activities focused on procuring and shipping donated medical products to the overseas health ministries of its Member agencies.

We continue to operate a coordinated, structured, efficient and cost-effective mechanism for transporting and tracking medicines and medical supplies, expertise that is well respected and in demand by both our Member agencies and external customers.

In recent years, the success of our material resources program has opened the door for us to implement an increasing number of health development and disease intervention projects that go far beyond simply transporting medicines and medical supplies. Today, we are involved in long-term health development projects that have received significant funding from the U.S. government, The World Bank and other international donors.
