Notes: This is for large donations on NEW ONLY items, usually palletized, stretch wrapped, and delivered in truckloads.

Watch out, though. Ask questions. Some of these groups CHARGE $$. They can charge $ on the receiving end (a "small" donation for what you're being "given" as a "processing fee") and/or they can charge for transportation.

If you're on the corporate end, these groups tend to do great things in terms of getting the donated supplies into the hands of those that need it. Ask questions, though, about who is getting the donations and whether or not you will be able to track where the donation is located and when. You may want to know how long it's sitting in a warehouse and you may want to know what the "in-kind donations service" group is charging. Some charge so much that the relief groups can not afford to take your donations, if you work through the groups. Other groups place in-kind donations for free.

Groups that offer "technology tracking systems" for in-kind donations, often will charge a large sum to customize a system for you. Or they can offer a free system. Be careful to do your research to find out how much customization, if any, you need/want.
