Many people are moving in with family and friends, but food is starting to spoil. We anticipate a dramatic increase in need for food for the weeks and months ahead as people try to pick up the pieces of their lives. Our food bank network has assembled supplies estimated at $650,000 in just the past two days. As shelters disband, many people will be looking for food assistance for the very first time. Feeding America has been working to support relief efforts in the regions impacted by record flooding and tornado outbreaks since April.
